Steven I agree with yout that Ronaldinho is showing a little more happiness than last season, maybe beacuse he knows he is the star of the hole Championship now. But in Italy the defense system does not allow him to get the ball, head up and make a play, the defenders mark a lot more closely than in Spain. The adjustments on his style of play have to be made before too long for him to salvage his carreer.

Two article on Brazilian enigmas in a day. He is superbly talented, but has shown a frailty that he needs to eradicate. There's a lot of distractions in Milan, but I have seen some of the pre-season games as well, and he looks to be enjoying himself. It's interesting that he seems to be at his creative best when he is enjoying the game. Here's hoping that he can get back into good form this season.

Saw a great interview with Iniesta recently where he talks about the footballing philosophy that they use in the Cantera. He says that Cruyff was the major influence and that they play the entire game with a three step approach in their minds at all times - Pass, Offer, Receive. So they are always moving and always finding space, that he says is the key to beautiful football. Perhaps with that kind of thinking he could be a coach that follows the ethos of free-flowing football.
